Book News

It’s been a long time coming and I’m so excited to share with you the title, cover, and release date for my forthcoming thriller/horror novel.

So here it is, “The Lost Always Take Off Their Shoes.”

Yūrei, vengeful spirits, are luring victims to their deaths in a small town in Washington. Unsuspecting and distracted, Kaitlynn is haunted by nightmares, unexplained bruises, and glimpses of a woman no one else sees. When her family is attacked, and people in her life start to disappear, she searches her family history for answers. Fearing it’s already too late, Kaitlynn races against an old vengeance to unbury dark family secrets.

This book has been on the track for publication for almost two years, so it’s thrilling we’re finally at the end. If you’ve heard me talking about the horror novel I’ve been working on, or that it was accepted for publication, or heard an excerpt during a reading for different events I’ve attended over the last few years, this is it with a new title.

Most exciting of all, this thriller/horror novel releases on Halloween! It’ll be available through Amazon.

“The Lost Always Take Off Their Shoes” is published by Winter Goose Publishing. You can stay up to date on the book’s availability on their website.

Congratulations, Mandie! Can you send me the cover art and a blurb? I’ll include it in the January newsletter.

Happy dance! Congratulations on the release of your book. While I’m really looking forward to buying, and reading it, I’m not a fan of shopping Amazon. Any other avenues? If not, I’ll bite the bullet and use Amazon, but I’d prefer not to. Again, congratulations!

BTW, I want to attend the Hawthorn poetry reading, but schedule has been messing with my intentions. Hope to make it soon.

Thank you! Amazon does the actual printing for Winter Goose, so it comes from them regardless of where it is purchased. If you just don’t like their system, you can purchase it from me once I get ahold of some copies. And thank you for the support! Maybe one day there’ll be more options.

Thank you! And isn’t that the truth, Gary! To break into a new genre is pretty exciting too. It makes me feel like, Oh, yeah, there is a place out here for this poetry and horror-writing author. Who knew?
